The church’s construction (built in Baroque style), was financed by the Confraternity of Saint Philip Neri, following the echo of his canonisation in the first two decades of the 17th century. Thanks to its small size, it was not damaged during the 1693 earthquake. Furthermore, in the first decades of the 18th century, it was enlarged, and its wooden ceiling was replaced with a vault.
The church has a hut-shaped façade, with stone angles complete with capitals.  (Fig. a). The church entrance door is delimited by two columns with a Corinthian capital that supports an entablature (Fig. b). Above it, there is a window surrounded by volutes and a broken architrave (Fig. c).
The interior, with a single room  (Fig. d)features a chapel on the right side, the result of the 1800 renovations, from which you can access the sacristy. On the right side, there is the original chapel, which is characterised by an altar covered in glass and painted in fake marble, an old pitchstone floor with white limestone inserts (Fig. e). This chapel contains a painting of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the Temple from 17th century (Fig. f).
