In the second order, bordered by columns and volutes, there is a large window in the centre featuring grilles <\/span><em style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; text-align: var(--text-align);\">in the shape of a goose chest.<\/em><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; text-align: var(--text-align);\"> The central part ends with a belfry with three arches and a spire with a rococo frieze above (Fig. c).<br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; text-align: var(--text-align);\">The church is accessed via a short flight of steps. The interior follows the canons of monastic architecture: the oval hall (Fig. d) is covered by a large domed vault, decorated with a fresco depicting the<em> G<\/em><\/span><em style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; text-align: var(--text-align);\">lory of St. Joseph and St. Benedict&nbsp;<\/em><span style=\"font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; text-align: var(--text-align);\">(Fig. e)<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; text-align: var(--text-align);\">. The floor is made of white limestone inlaid with <\/span><em style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; text-align: var(--text-align);\">pitchstone<\/em><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; text-align: var(--text-align);\"> and painted majolica (Fig. f). Being cloistered nuns, both the choir, located in the atrium, and the tribunes (which overlook the nave), feature some \u201cgelosie\u201d (rounded grates), which allow the nuns to attend services
