Il fut reconstruit sur les restes des murs de l&rsquo;ancienne demeure de la famille, dont des ouvertures en ogive typiques du gothique sont encore visibles au sous-sol.<br \/>Ce palais s&rsquo;\u00e9l\u00e8ve sur deux \u00e9tages et refl\u00e8te les canons d&rsquo;habitation de l&rsquo;\u00e9poque, o\u00f9 le rez-de-chauss\u00e9e abritait des n\u00e9goces et des entrep\u00f4ts, tandis que le premier \u00e9tage accueillait les appartements (Fig. b). La fa\u00e7ade sobre et \u00e9l\u00e9gante du palais se distingue par sept balcons curvilignes, munis d&rsquo;une balustrade en fer forg\u00e9 en <em>poitrine d&rsquo;oie<\/em>, chacun \u00e9tant soutenu par trois consoles repr\u00e9sentant des figures anthropomorphes, comme m\u00e9taphore de la vie quotidienne (Fig. c). Parmi les nombreux personnages, on peut admirer trois paires de putti entrelac\u00e9s, un chevalier, un homme masqu\u00e9 et un faci\u00e8s \u00e0 binocles grima\u00e7ant. On acc\u00e8de au palais par un portail d\u00e9limit\u00e9 par deux pilastres soutenant l&rsquo;entablement o\u00f9 s&rsquo;inscrit un balcon curviligne ainsi que la fen\u00eatre du salon. L&rsquo;entr\u00e9e donne sur un hall d&rsquo;o\u00f9 part un \u00e9l\u00e9gant escalier en <em>pierre pece<\/em> bien agenc\u00e9 qui conduit \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u00e9tage noble (Fig. d).<br \/>Comme tous les palais du XVIIIe s., l&rsquo;\u00e9tage noble est caract\u00e9ris\u00e9 par des pi\u00e8ces en <em>enfilade <\/em>avec le salon de repr\u00e9sentation plac\u00e9 au milieu, d\u00e9cor\u00e9 ici d&rsquo;une tapisserie chinoise tiss\u00e9e en soie (Fig. e). Les vo\u00fbtes en pl\u00e2tre sur lattis et leurs d\u00e9cors, les portes laqu\u00e9es du XVIIIe s., ainsi que des lustres de cristal sont ceux d&rsquo;origine. Malgr\u00e9 quelques remaniements, il conserve encore de nombreux \u00e9l\u00e9ments originaux, comme les pavements dont certains sont en<em> pierre pece<\/em>, d&rsquo;autres en ma\u00efoliques de
