Ce vestige est aujourd&rsquo;hui conserv\u00e9 dans le mus\u00e9e Saint-Georges contigu.<br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); text-align: var(--text-align);\">Les travaux ne d\u00e9marr\u00e8rent qu&rsquo;en 1744, apr\u00e8s l&rsquo;approbation de la part d&rsquo;une commission, car le projet \u00e9tait jug\u00e9 trop innovant,<br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); text-align: var(--text-align);\">et furent compl\u00e9t\u00e9s en 1775. La coupole fut r\u00e9alis\u00e9e en 1820 au style n\u00e9oclassique par le ma\u00eetre artisan Carmelo Cultraro, sur un dessin de l&rsquo;architecte Stefano Ittar.<br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); text-align: var(--text-align);\">La coupole pr\u00e9sente une double calotte qui repose sur deux files de seize colonnettes encadrant de grands vitrages bleus&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); text-align: var(--text-align);\">(Fig. c)<\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); text-align: var(--text-align);\">.<br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); text-align: var(--text-align);\">La sacristie abrite la \u00ab Cona \u00bb du Gagini, de style Renaissance, qui faisait partie du groupe sculpt\u00e9 plac\u00e9 dans l&rsquo;abside de l&rsquo;ancienne \u00e9glise Saint-Georges, et qui fut r\u00e9cup\u00e9r\u00e9e et transf\u00e9r\u00e9e dans la nouvelle \u00e9glise (Fig. d).<br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); text-align: var(--text-align);\">L&rsquo;\u00e9glise pr\u00e9sente un plan \u00e0 trois nefs, d\u00e9limit\u00e9es par de puissantes colonnes, \u00e0 base en <\/span><em style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); text-align: var(--text-align);\">pierre pece <\/em><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); text-align: var(--text-align);\">et coiff\u00e9es de chapiteau corinthien, qui soutiennent un entablement aux corniches en pierre moulur\u00e9e, grav\u00e9e et sculpt\u00e9e (Fig. e).<br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); text-align: var(--text-align);\">On y admire aussi plusieurs tableaux dont un <\/span><em style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); text-align: var(--text-align);\">Ange gardien<\/em><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); text-align: var(--text-align);\"> de Vito D\u2019Anna (1763) et un <\/span><em style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); text-align: var(--text-align);\">Christ apparaissant \u00e0 sainte Gaudenzia <\/em><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); text-align: var(--text-align);\"> d&rsquo;Antonio Manno (1782). Dans le transept, la dalle fun\u00e9raire de Bernardo Cabrera, plac\u00e9e \u00e0 l&rsquo;entr\u00e9e de la <\/span><em style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); text-align: var(--text-align);\">chapelle du Crucifix<\/em><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); text-align: var(--text-align);\">, provenient de l&rsquo;ancienne \u00e9glise Saint-Georges. Un <\/span><em style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); text-align: var(--text-align);\"> Organum Maximum<\/em><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); text-align: var(--text-align);\">&nbsp;r\u00e9alis\u00e9 en 1887 par la firme Serassi de Bergame est plac\u00e9 au fond de la nef centrale, orgue que la firme consid\u00e8re comme son chef-d&rsquo;\u0153uvre (Fig. f).<br \/>Le grand escalier, en haut duquel se dresse la cath\u00e9drale, est d\u00e9limit\u00e9 par une haute grille en fer forg\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9e par le forgeron Angelo Paradiso
