Une image de la <em>Vierge Hodegetria<\/em> (du grec \u00ab celle qui montre le chemin \u00bb) y \u00e9tait v\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9e, nom qui lui fut ainsi donn\u00e9. Il est couronn\u00e9 d&rsquo;un tambour octogonal dont les huit segments polychromes en terre cuite repr\u00e9sentent des vases avec des fleurs et est coiff\u00e9 d&rsquo;une petite coupole nervur\u00e9e rev\u00eatue de ma\u00efoliques de couleur bleue (Fig. a).<br \/><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); text-align: var(--text-align);\">Peu endommag\u00e9e par le s\u00e9isme de 1693, elle fut agrandie et restaur\u00e9e telle qu&rsquo;on la voit aujourd&rsquo;hui. Sa fa\u00e7ade \u00e0 deux niveaux (Fig. b) fut compl\u00e9t\u00e9e en 1740 et son style classique (Fig. c), d\u00e9rive sans doute des r\u00e8gles des Trait\u00e9s d&rsquo;architecture du Serlio ou du Vignola.<br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); text-align: var(--text-align);\">L&rsquo;int\u00e9rieur de l&rsquo;\u00e9glise pr\u00e9sente trois nefs s\u00e9par\u00e9es par deux colonnades \u00e0 chapiteau corinthien (Fig. d). Remarquables sont la chapelle de la Mater Dolorosa, situ\u00e9e \u00e0 droite en entrant (Fig. . e), et les cinq autels, r\u00e9alis\u00e9s entre 1741 et 1758, dont certains se distinguent par la richesse de leurs d\u00e9corations, d&rsquo;autres par leurs colonnes torses de style rococo. Le tableau plac\u00e9 sur l&rsquo;autel de la nef gauche, qui repr\u00e9sente saint Julien et saint Jean-Baptiste, est attribu\u00e9 \u00e0 Mattia Preti (Fig. f).<br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); text-align: var(--text-align);\">Sur le pavement en <\/span><em style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); text-align: var(--text-align);\">pierre pece <\/em><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); text-align: var(--text-align);\"> de l&rsquo;\u00e9glise, on peut voir trois dalles fun\u00e9raires indiquant les s\u00e9pultures du clerg\u00e9, du peuple et de la famille
