Le premier niveau est tripartite et date du XVIe s. Le portail de la nef centrale, qui est le plus grand, est d\u00e9limit\u00e9 par deux pilastres qui soutiennent une corniche. Le second niveau, de facture n\u00e9oclassique, est divis\u00e9 du premier par un entablement qui est surmont\u00e9 en son centre d&rsquo;une grande fen\u00eatre, laquelle soutient l&rsquo;entablement du tympan sup\u00e9rieur. Sur la fa\u00e7ade lat\u00e9rale gauche, on peut admirer une lunette en calcaire, datable entre le XVe et le XVIe s., repr\u00e9sentant l&rsquo;Adoration des bergers (Fig. c).<br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); text-align: var(--text-align);\">L&rsquo;\u00e9glise est divis\u00e9e en trois nefs d\u00e9limit\u00e9es de chaque c\u00f4t\u00e9 par une file de colonnes (Fig. d). Le plafond de la nef centrale est constitu\u00e9 de fermes en bois apparentes, dont les versants sont orn\u00e9s de caissons en bois d\u00e9cor\u00e9s (Fig. e). Cette nef abrite un orgue somptueux r\u00e9alis\u00e9 au d\u00e9but du XIXe s. et une chaire en bois monumentale. Au fond de la nef de droite, on trouve la chapelle la plus ancienne, caract\u00e9ris\u00e9e par un portail de style gothique tardif m\u00eal\u00e9 d&rsquo;influences de la Renaissance (Fig. . f). Son plan carr\u00e9 est surmont\u00e9 d&rsquo;un tambour octogonal sur pendentifs o\u00f9 s&rsquo;inscrit la coupole \u00e0 lanterneau.<br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); text-align: var(--text-align);\">Dans une chapelle lat\u00e9rale de la nef de gauche, on peut admirer une cr\u00e8che qui date de 1882, r\u00e9alis\u00e9e par Bongiovanni Vaccaro, c\u00e9l\u00e8bre c\u00e9ramiste de Caltagirone, compos\u00e9e de soixante santons en terre cuite peinte reproduisant, de fa\u00e7on extr\u00eamement fid\u00e8le, les anciens us et coutumes des paysans de
