Le s\u00e9isme de 1693 causa la destruction des deux \u00e9difices. L&rsquo;\u00e9glise fut reb\u00e2tie en 1700 sur un projet de Girolamo Iacitano, puis le monast\u00e8re fut lui aussi reconstruit entre 1715 et 1719 par le ma\u00eetre-ma\u00e7on Giuseppe Puccia.<br \/>La fa\u00e7ade sobre et lin\u00e9aire contraste avec l&rsquo;int\u00e9rieur, riche en stucs et en d\u00e9corations en pl\u00e2tre (Fig. a).<br \/>Sa fa\u00e7ade plane, d\u00e9limit\u00e9e par deux pilastres, est couronn\u00e9e d&rsquo;une loggia \u00e0 trois arcades jouxtant la cage du clocher (Fig. b).<br \/>La fen\u00eatre quadrilob\u00e9e au-dessus du portail est encadr\u00e9e d&rsquo;une corniche finement d\u00e9cor\u00e9e et surplombe une balustrade en pierre, tandis que des \u00e9l\u00e9ments floraux sont dispos\u00e9s aux quatre coins (Fig. c).<br \/>\u00c0 l&rsquo;int\u00e9rieur, le narthex s&rsquo;ouvre sur une nef unique de forme rectangulaire qui se termine par l&rsquo;abside qui abrite le ma\u00eetre-autel. Ce dernier est domin\u00e9 par un grand tableau de 1698 d\u00e9di\u00e9 \u00e0 sainte Th\u00e9r\u00e8se d&rsquo;Avila, repr\u00e9sentant la transverb\u00e9ration du c\u0153ur de sainte Th\u00e9r\u00e8se par l&rsquo;Enfant Dieu.<br \/>Le ma\u00eetre-autel est entour\u00e9 d&rsquo;une paire de colonnes cannel\u00e9es \u00e0 chapiteau corinthien plac\u00e9es sur de hauts pi\u00e9destaux et de deux colonnes orn\u00e9es de guirlandes qui s\u2019y enroulent tout autour de mani\u00e8re h\u00e9lico\u00efdale (Fig. d).<br \/>Le pavement, incrust\u00e9 de motifs g\u00e9om\u00e9triques, r\u00e9alis\u00e9 en pierre blanche et orn\u00e9 de trames mixtilignes en <em>pierre pece<\/em> noire locale, est un des plus originaux de la province de Raguse et a \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9 en 1757 (Fig. e). En revanche, le pavement de l&rsquo;abside date de 1761 et est constitu\u00e9 de ma\u00efoliques de Vietri.<br \/>D&rsquo;autres autels sont adoss\u00e9s aux murs lat\u00e9raux. Sur le c\u00f4t\u00e9 gauche, on trouve un crucifix entour\u00e9 de cadres en bois d\u00e9cor\u00e9s de motifs floraux, tandis que l&rsquo;autel plac\u00e9 sur la droite est surmont\u00e9 d&rsquo;un tableau repr\u00e9sentant la <em>Vierge en tr\u00f4ne entour\u00e9e de saints<\/em> r\u00e9alis\u00e9 par Ludovico Suirech. Les deux autels sont d\u00e9limit\u00e9s par des paires de colonnes.<br \/>Remarquable est aussi la vo\u00fbte d\u00e9cor\u00e9e de fresques, r\u00e9alis\u00e9es autour de 1854, qui illustrent des \u00e9pisodes de la vie de sainte Th\u00e9r\u00e8se d&rsquo;Avila (Fig. f).<br \/>Ferm\u00e9e au culte depuis 1950, l&rsquo;\u00e9glise fut donn\u00e9e \u00e0 la commune de Scicli et sert
