Sa construction d\u00e9marra au d\u00e9but du XVIIIe s. et les travaux \u00e9taient d\u00e9j\u00e0 termin\u00e9s d\u00e8s le milieu du si\u00e8cle. <br \/>Apr\u00e8s le meurtre du marquis Guillaume Giustiniani Fava en 1792, dernier descendant des Fava, le palais passa dans les mains d&rsquo;une autre famille dans la premi\u00e8re moiti\u00e9 du XIXe s.<br \/><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); text-align: var(--text-align);\">Sa fa\u00e7ade principale donne sur la Piazza Italia et est d\u00e9limit\u00e9e par deux pilastres \u00e0 bossage en pointe de diamant plac\u00e9s \u00e0 chaque extr\u00e9mit\u00e9, et se termine sur le haut par une grande corniche finement cr\u00e9nel\u00e9e (Fig. b). <br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); text-align: var(--text-align);\">Au rez-de-chauss\u00e9e, le portail constitue l&rsquo;axe de sym\u00e9trie de la fa\u00e7ade, o\u00f9 s&rsquo;ouvrent six entr\u00e9es. L&rsquo;entr\u00e9e principale est d\u00e9limit\u00e9e par deux colonnes, plac\u00e9es sur des bases et coiff\u00e9es de chapiteaux corinthiens, couronn\u00e9es par des t\u00eates de putti. La clef de vo\u00fbte sculpt\u00e9e de l&rsquo;arc de l&rsquo;entr\u00e9e repr\u00e9sente un visage avec des feuilles d&rsquo;acanthe en guise de cheveux (Fig. c).<br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); text-align: var(--text-align);\">Au premier \u00e9tage s&rsquo;ouvrent des balcons surmont\u00e9s de tympans bris\u00e9s, d\u00e9limit\u00e9s par des balustrades en <em>poitrine d&rsquo;oie<\/em>, et soutenus par des consoles sculpt\u00e9es \u00e0 mascaron et d\u00e9cor\u00e9es de motifs floraux (Fig. d). <\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); text-align: var(--text-align);\">Le somptueux tympan du balcon qui surplombe l&rsquo;entr\u00e9e pr\u00e9sente un blason \u00e9cartel\u00e9, tandis que les deux t\u00eates coiff\u00e9es \u00e0 la mode du XVIIIe s. repr\u00e9sentent le marquis Guillaume Giustiniani Fava et son \u00e9pouse Anna La Rocca (Fig. e).<br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); text-align: var(--text-align);\">Remarquables sont les consoles qui soutiennent le seul balcon de la fa\u00e7ade lat\u00e9rale, o\u00f9 des visages barbus ornent la partie inf\u00e9rieure, tandis que la partie sup\u00e9rieure est d\u00e9cor\u00e9e de deux griffons et de deux chevaux ail\u00e9s \u00e0 queue de poisson, chevauch\u00e9s par des putti (Fig. f).<\/span><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<div
